Even it it's true that "experience allows real learning as opposed to just being given advice", we do have a few suggestions to help make sure your shoes continue to look new and remain in pristine condition.
- At first, our shoes must be worn only off an on (for about 3 hours each time).
- With the help of a shoehorn (a reflex one has to acquire), one avoids deforming the counters.
- Just as it needs nourishment, leather also requires rest. Usually, a given pair of shoes should not be worn more than 24 hours. It's best to let them rest (for at least 24 hours) placing them on a well-adapted shoetree to help keep their shape and avoid folds in the leather.
- High quality care products are available in specialized shops and mass merchandising establishments. They are also obtainable directly at BENSON SHOES.
- Keeping your shoes in shipshape requires one to two polishing sessions. Refrain from using stiff or rigid objects for cleaning. Use soft brushes and smooth slightly humid (or soft) cloth for thorough cleaning, in addition to shoe cream.
- After cleaning, let polish set thoroughly in. Then apply the polish color required to achieve the look desired. Let dry in the open air and shine.
